Eureka Springs High School EAST students recently presented their “Developing GIS Community Projects” at the Arkansas GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Users Forum Biennial Symposium and Training Conference, held at the Eureka Springs Convention Center, October 27-30, 2009.

Students from the Stuttgart Ricebird EAST program took part in the local Red Ribbon Rally at the Reinsch Softball Complex on October 26, 2009. The community wide event usually brings in an estimated 700 children from around the Stuttgart area.

Greenbrier Jr. High EAST students are planning the 2nd Annual Ghoul at the School on Saturday, October 31st, from 6-8 pm. This is an event to create a safe environment for children to trick-or-treat; we are expecting 500-1000 children this year. Businesses will sponsor booths to provide this event to the community for free.
