Lakeside HS EAST Receives $15,000 Grant

Lakeside High School’s EAST recently received a $15,000 grant for the purchase of new GPS equipment. The new equipment will be used in mapping Indian Trails in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area.

Brinkley High School EAST students won the award for Outstanding Nature Videography for the documentary film "Arkansas Bottomland Hardwoods: Unlike Any Other" at the My Community Governor's Award ceremony at the Governor's Mansion April 30.
Eureka Springs Robotics Team Returns From World Championship

The Eureka Springs Robotics Team performed well at the 2008 FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship held in Atlanta, Georgia, last April 16 to19, 2008. Their Tech Challenge Category had 88 team competitors from Singapore, Canada and the United States.

In another exciting and amazing chapter to the Eureka Springs Robotics Team’s Cinderella story, the EastBots Team was chosen to attend the 2008 FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in Atlanta, Georgia, April 16 to 19, 2008. The Team’s selection was the result of being part of the Winning Alliance at the FIRST Tech Challenge.
