Brinkley High School EAST Recognized by Monroe County Foundation

Brinkley High School EAST recently received a grant from the Monroe County Foundation. The 'Violent Vortex' team will use the funds to purchase materials to help students feel more comfortable and safer in the event of evacuation to the schools emergency shelter.

Eureka Springs Robotics Team Finishes in the Final Four

It was a long, action-packed weekend for the Eureka Springs High School EAST students who participated in the FIRST Tech Challenge St. Louis Regional Tournament, last December 6, 2008, at the St. Louis Community College.
Eureka Springs wins Arkansas Shine Award

Eureka Springs is one of six Arkansas cities that were recently named Arkansas Shine Awards Program Winners by the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission (KAB), a division of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.

EAST Facilitator Mary Vitro of Lakeside High School has been selected Teacher of the Week by the Lakeside football team and will be honored during tonight's football game against Little Rock's Pulaski Academy.
Central High School Students, EAST Ambassadors Win International Film Fest

Emma and Sarah Bailin received news this morning that they won the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Fesitval High School Competition for their documentary, "Return to Sender." The Bailins, who got the documentary film "bug" when they were EAST students at Horace Mann Middle School, competed against 400 applicants.
Paris EAST Students Received 1st Place

Five Paris EAST students recently entered photos in the youth photography contest at the 2008 Logan County Fair. All five students received 1st Place Blue ribbons. The students that entered the contest were (from left to right in photo) Hailey Yabarra, Claudia Ocampo, Megan Knight, and Tahra Moore. Not pictured was Lynsie Hice.
